Patronage
Who is the museum patronage at the Senckenberg Natural History Museum suitable for?For everyone! We welcome museum patrons of all ages and backgrounds. You can treat yourself to a patronage or give one as a gift to someone else.
Can our company or organization patron a museum?
Of course! Our sponsorship programs are a great way to treat your employees and support our museum. We’d be happy to create a sponsorship plaque and certificate featuring your company logo.
Is there a price list for the patronage items?
Our museum patronages are always tailored to your needs and not off-the-shelf options. Please feel free to contact us with a sponsorship inquiry—we’d be happy to advise you, of course, within your budget.
Is there a list of exhibits available for patronages?
Our museum is constantly evolving. Exhibits are being moved, returned to the collections, or new ones are being added to our exhibition. Because of this dynamic nature, we don’t have a “list” for you, but we’re always happy to help you find something suitable.
Please send us a sponsorship request using the online form.
For how long can I sign up for a museum patronage at the Senckenberg Natural History Museum?
Over the next few years, we will be carrying out various renovation projects at our facility. For this reason, we generally limit sponsorships to one year. Don’t worry—we’ll always contact you in advance to ask if you’d like to renew your sponsorship.
Where can I find information about data protection?
You can view the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research’s privacy policy here.

Patronage fee
Where should I send my monthly payment?
You can find all the information in your patronage agreement. Our account at Frankfurter Sparkasse has the IBAN DE15 5005 0201 0000 7601 57.
Can I claim my museum patronage as a tax deduction?
Yes, you can!
Senckenberg follows the simplified administrative procedures of the tax authorities, which means that donation receipts are issued for contributions of 300 euros or more. For amounts up to 300 euros, a deposit slip or a transaction confirmation from your bank (e.g., bank statement) is sufficient to claim your donation as a special expense for tax purposes (Section 501 of the Income Tax Implementation Regulation).
Patron’s Plaque
Where can I find my patron’s plaque?
Is your exhibit located in the Bird Hall, the Deep Sea, or the Coral Reef? If so, look for our sponsorship plaques in those respective rooms. You’ll also find your plaque there.
Because it’s too dark in our Deep Sea exhibit to display the plaques clearly and legibly, you’ll find the corresponding patron’s plaque in the Marine Research room.
For all other items, we will affix a patronage sticker to the display case of the respective exhibit.
Renewal & Cancellation
Can I renew my museum patronage?
Of course, we’re happy to do that—and we’ve made it very easy for you: Shortly before your patronage ends, we’ll send you your new agreement.
As soon as you sign and return it to us, you’ll receive your new patronage certificate. If not, the patronage will simply end.
Does my museum patronage renew automatically?
No, it does not renew automatically. We will send you a new patronage agreement shortly before it expires. If we do not hear back from you, your museum patronage will end on schedule.
I was gifted a museum patronage. I would now like to continue it myself. What do I need to do?
That’s not a problem. Just contact us via email at patenschaften@senckenberg.de.
How can I cancel my museum patronage?
You do not need to cancel. We will send you a new patronage agreement shortly before your current agreement expires. If we do not hear back from you, your museum sponsorship will end as scheduled.
